Teaching Assistant

This welcoming primary school in Stratford‑upon‑Avon now seeks a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a full‑time role. To begin with, you bring solid SEND experience and feel confident supporting pupils with varied and complex needs. As the day progresses, you create calm, structured routines that help children feel safe, settled and ready to learn. Additionally, you guide pupils through clear tasks, reinforce key skills and maintain consistent expectations that support confidence and independence. You work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO to deliver high‑quality SEND provision across the school.

Key Responsibilities

• SEND support delivered through calm routines and clear expectations
• 1:1 and small‑group guidance that builds confidence and engagement
• Adapted learning tasks for pupils needing additional help
• Positive behaviour approaches using warm, consistent communication
• Close teamwork with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO
• Steady encouragement of independence and resilience
