Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Step into a vibrant Warwick primary school where every day brings new opportunities to inspire young learners. This full‑time KS1 Teaching Assistant role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy classroom, enjoys supporting early learning, and wants to make a real difference. Because classroom‑based experience is essential, you’ll immediately feel confident helping pupils stay engaged, focused and excited about their progress.

Furthermore, as part of the KS1 team, you’ll move between whole‑class support, small‑group activities and targeted interventions. You’ll help shape routines, guide pupils through key skills and bring energy to lessons that spark curiosity. With a warm, proactive approach, you’ll become a valued part of the classroom from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily classroom learning through active involvement in lessons and routines
  • Lead small‑group activities that build confidence and reinforce key skills
  • Provide 1:1 guidance for pupils who need additional encouragement
  • Prepare resources, organise learning spaces and keep the classroom running smoothly
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to maintain a calm, structured environment
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging, well‑paced learning throughout the day

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong classroom‑based experience (essential)
  • Confident supporting learning across KS1
  • Energetic, proactive and ready to get involved
  • Full‑time availability
  • A team‑focused mindset and a passion for helping pupils succeed
