The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils throughout the school day. Duties may include:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom preparation
  • Supporting children’s academic, social, and emotional development
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and positive behaviour
  • Providing additional support to pupils with SEN where required
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, applicants must:

  • Have recent UK-based experience working within a primary school
  • Be confident supporting children across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a positive, proactive, and flexible approach
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Be able to provide references that cover recent employment history
