Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning journey? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work in  a primary school located in Lichfield.

This is a popular school in the heart of Lichfield where staff and students learn together and increase each child’s aspirations of what they may achieve.

Position: Teaching Assistant
Age Group: KS1 Mainstream working 1:1
Working Hours: Monday – Friday. 8:30-3:30pm
Contract Duration: March 2024 – end of the academic year
Start Date: March 2024
Location: Lichfield

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the educational development of a child who requires additional support within the classroom. You will have the opportunity to make a difference by adapting your teaching strategies to suit the child’s unique learning style.

Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one support to the child, ensuring their individual needs are met
– Assist the child in understanding and engaging with the curriculum
– Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
– Implement personalized learning plans, tailored to the child’s specific requirements
– Foster the child’s social and emotional development, promoting a positive and nurturing atmosphere
– Monitor and record the child’s progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff and parents/guardians

Requirements:
– Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting
– Knowledge of KS1 curriculum and experience working with children with special educational needs
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
