Zest Education are working with a busy primary special educational needs school located in Cannock to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This position is due to start from Easter half term and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year.

This school caters for children from two to eleven with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Due to the needs of the learners, the ideal candidate will have experience within the care sector or supporting individuals with special educational needs (SEND).

The school itself is a popular primary which encourages all children to develop into independent, respectful, and confident individuals. The role:

  • You have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or within the care sector
  • To promote and encourage independence and personal development in pupils and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times
  • You will be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs
