Zest Education are working with a special educational needs school situated in Cannock to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working, and results driven teaching assistant.

As a Teaching Assistant in this full-time role, you will be working with students aged 5-16 who have Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Your role will involve providing individualised support to students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring they have the guidance and assistance they need to excel academically and emotionally.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who have experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This could be in a teaching assistant role or within a care setting. Your understanding of the unique challenges faced by these students will be crucial in providing them with the support they require.

At Zest Education, we are committed to transforming the lives of young people and promoting their independence. We believe in providing high-quality education and support to all our students, and we are looking for someone who shares this vision.

Working as part of an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of these students. Together, you will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

In addition to academic support, your role will also involve implementing positive behaviour management strategies. You will be equipped with the skills to de-escalate any challenges you may face, approaching them with a calm and composed demeanour.

If you are enthusiastic, flexible, and have a genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
