Zest Education is currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Burton. This role is available immediately and will continue until December 2025, with the possibility of extension into 2026.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teaching across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2. Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who need additional support
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour
Helping to prepare learning materials and resources
Providing feedback to teachers and contributing to pupil progress reports
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
This is a full-time Teaching Assistant position, offering the chance to become a valued member of the school community and gain further experience in a rewarding education setting.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning. Ideally, you will:
Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred, but not essential)
Have previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be confident in supporting learning in English and Maths
Be proactive, adaptable, and able to use your initiative
Work well as part of a team and independently
Have a clear and up-to-date DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
