Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rugeley, who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity that will run through to the end of 2025, with potential to continue beyond this point.
This is a well-regarded, community-focused primary school situated near of Rugeley. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting both the class teacher and pupils to create a positive and productive learning experience. This may include working with children 1:1, in small groups, or providing general classroom support across the primary year groups.
Duties will include:
Supporting pupils with their learning under the guidance of the class teacher
Helping to prepare classroom materials and resources
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
Assisting with reading, phonics, and numeracy interventions
Working closely with SEN pupils when required
Supporting the social and emotional development of students
We are looking for a passionate and reliable individual who has previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
Essential:
Experience working with primary-aged children
A genuine passion for education and child development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use your initiative and work as part of a team
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
Preferred:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working with children with additional needs (SEN)
A current, enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willing to apply for one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
