Teaching assistants, Erdington.

Zest Education works very closely with a primary school in Erdington that are looking for EYFS – KS2 Teaching assistants on a full-time basis. All the roles are due to start in September 2022 and if the right candidates are found then it would be on a permanent basis.

The school is improving after a difficult time due to lack of funding and various other factors. The important thing is that this school has now got the financial backing and a well-respected headteacher who is starting the rebuilding process and they are making vast improvements from teaching quality to pupil support to refurbishing buildings. This is an exciting time to be a part of this school, they have made good progress into achieving their final goal but now need Teaching assistants to help take them to that next level. The senior leadership team are eager to make the appointment soon but do require somebody that fits exactly right.

The successful candidate must be able to show great enthusiasm for classroom-based learning. They must also be a confident classroom practitioner as some behaviour may be challenging but with the right support, the classes can be extremely rewarding. This is a project that is still very much ongoing, the senior leadership team want somebody who inputs their ideas and can develop them further. Finally, successful candidate must be passionate about education, that is the core message that the school want its staff to deliver to the pupils.

Newley qualified teaching assistants and experienced teaching assistants will both be considered for this role. The successful candidate will be given full support to transition into their new role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
