Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Tamworth
Full-time

Zest Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Tamworth, and we are recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students aged 11–16, helping to raise attainment and ensuring they reach their full potential. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Helping manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting students with additional learning needs (SEND)

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff and contributing to planning

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and eager to make a real difference in a secondary school setting.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting (preferred but not essential)

  • A calm, patient and resilient nature

  • A genuine interest in supporting young people

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
