Teaching Assistant

Job Description:
– Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD in Year 1.
– Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities.
– Implement strategies to support the child’s social and emotional development.
– Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create individualized learning plans.
– Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for the child to thrive.

Qualifications:
– Relevant experience working with children with ASD is desirable.
– Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support children with SEN.
– Strong communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and flexible in challenging situations.
