Job Title: Full-Time Teaching Assistant for a Year 5 Class

Position Overview: Zest are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a Year 5 class. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting teaching staff, contributing to the educational and holistic development of students.


  • Collaborate with the Year 5 class teacher to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring that individual learning needs are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Support students with their emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student progress.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.


  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within a primary school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards professional development and continuous learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Pay to start at £75 per day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
