Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, assisting in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to support learning, understanding, and confidence across all subjects.
  • Assist in implementing differentiated learning activities to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges to ensure a positive learning experience.
  • Help maintain an organised, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification / Level 2 is accepted but preferably Level 3.
  • Previous classroom experience or working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • A caring, proactive, and flexible approach with a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues alike.
