Teaching Assistant – Nursery Setting

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support a range of nursery settings across Coventry on a day‑to‑day cover basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with early years children and enjoys the flexibility of short‑term or daily assignments. You will support staff in creating a warm, safe and engaging environment where children can explore, learn and develop through play.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting children aged 0–4 with daily routines and learning activities
• Assisting with play‑based learning, story time and group activities
• Helping maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
• Working closely with nursery practitioners and room leaders
• Providing additional support to children with SEND where required
• Following safeguarding and EYFS guidelines

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Confident supporting children aged 0–4
• Understanding of SEND or willingness to learn
• Friendly, patient and nurturing approach
• Reliable and adaptable for day‑to‑day cover
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
