This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, confident working with SEN pupils, and committed to making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

About the School

This Stafford primary school is known for its strong community values, nurturing environment, and commitment to inclusive education. Staff work collaboratively, behaviour is well‑managed, and pupils are encouraged to develop independence, resilience, and a love of learning.

You will be joining a supportive team that values professional development and welcomes proactive, positive practitioners.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • SEN Provision — Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and SEMH.
  • 1:1 Support — Work closely with identified pupils, helping them access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence.
  • Small‑Group Interventions — Deliver structured programmes in phonics, reading, writing, or maths to help close learning gaps.
  • Pastoral Care — Promote emotional wellbeing, model positive behaviour, and help pupils develop social skills.
  • Collaboration — Work alongside teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.
  • Record‑Keeping — Contribute to progress notes, behaviour logs, and intervention tracking where required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting
  • Understanding of SEN strategies, including de‑escalation, visual supports, and differentiated learning
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
  • Ability to commit to a long‑term, full‑time role

If you have experience with ASD support, ADHD strategies, or speech and language interventions, this will be highly valued.
