Zest Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Tamworth that prides itself on creating a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join this friendly school from November 2025, continuing until the end of the half term, with the potential for an ongoing position.
In this role, you will:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.
Assist in preparing classroom materials and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Support pupils with differing abilities and needs, ensuring every child feels included and valued.
Contribute to classroom management and the wider school community.
The successful candidate will be:
Level 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (preferred).
Experienced in working with Key Stage 2 children, ideally within a Year 5 setting.
Passionate about education and committed to pupil progress.
Confident in supporting English and Maths interventions.
Patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Reliable, proactive, and a great team player.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
