The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join this friendly school from November 2025, continuing until the end of the half term, with the potential for an ongoing position.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.

  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.

  • Assist in preparing classroom materials and maintaining a positive learning environment.

  • Support pupils with differing abilities and needs, ensuring every child feels included and valued.

  • Contribute to classroom management and the wider school community.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be:

  • Level 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (preferred).

  • Experienced in working with Key Stage 2 children, ideally within a Year 5 setting.

  • Passionate about education and committed to pupil progress.

  • Confident in supporting English and Maths interventions.

  • Patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Reliable, proactive, and a great team player.
