As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery, working closely with small groups of children, including those with SEND needs. You’ll assist in monitoring pupil progress, provide one-to-one support where required, and help create a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils in the Year 5 classroom. Your support will be key in ensuring that every child feels confident, included, and ready to learn each day.

Qualifications and experience required:
  • Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting
  • Knowledge or experience of supporting SEND pupils
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
