Job Description

Zest Education is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Unqualified Teacher to support teaching and learning within a welcoming school environment. This role is ideal for someone who has strong classroom experience and is ready to take the next step beyond a traditional Teaching Assistant position. You’ll be leading learning, supporting whole‑class delivery, and helping pupils stay engaged and confident throughout the school day. If you’re passionate about education and eager to grow, this is a fantastic opportunity to build hands‑on experience while working towards a future teaching career.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading learning activities and supporting whole‑class teaching
  • Delivering small‑group sessions and targeted interventions
  • Assisting with planning and adapting activities to meet pupil needs
  • Supporting pupils with SEND where required
  • Helping maintain a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • SEND experience preferred
  • Classroom experience preferred
  • Relevant qualifications such as:
    • Education‑related degree
    • Health & Social Care qualification
    • Enrolment in a teaching course or similar pathway
  • A confident, proactive, and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills
  • A genuine passion for working with children and progressing in education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
