URGENT: Teacher of English (Part-time)

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of English to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with a reputable secondary school in the Tamworth area, starting in April 2025 on a part-time basis (3 days a week).

As a Teacher of English with Zest Education, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and educating students in a vibrant and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities:
– Plan and teach engaging lessons that motivate the students in your subject and cater to the needs of diverse learners
– Mark and assess students work and track student progression
– Have excellent curriculum knowledge that continues to develop with the advances in the subject – particularly the new and engaging ways to teach English as the subject continues to evolve.
– Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

 

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • QTS – Qualified Teacher status in English (ECT’s, formerly known as NQT’s, are encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent subject knowledge of English in Key Stages 3 (KS3) and 4 (KS4) is essential
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A strong school reference from your recent employer/placement
