Zest Education is seeking a qualified class teacher with a strong work ethic to join a primary school based in Bromsgrove. This role will begin in October 2024 and is ongoing. This is a full-time position, so you will be expected to work Monday to Friday. You will be teaching within KS1 in a Year 1 class, and you should possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Your day-to-day duties as a Primary Teacher will include:

  • Planning and presenting high-quality and appropriate lessons that meet the national curriculum guidelines.
  • Carrying out assessments, assigning homework, and performing other administrative tasks like reporting, marking, and record-keeping.
  • Establishing standards for behaviour and discipline, including how to handle misbehaviour in accordance with school policy.
  • Creating engaging lessons and motivating the children to collaborate and communicate together.
  • Liaising with parents, senior leadership and external bodies about students’ progress and conduct.
  • Offering individualised instruction and support to students of all abilities as needed.

To be successful you will have:

  • A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with in-school teaching experience.
  • A strong commitment to fostering a great learning environment and educating children.
  • Extensive familiarity with the national curriculum and superior numeracy and literacy abilities.
  • The capacity for both independent working and productive teamwork.
  • A dedication to advancing and protecting the welfare of children.
  • An enhanced DBS.
  • A wide range of IT skills that will be used daily in this role.
