We are recruiting for a Year 1 teacher to join a large primary school in Small Heath. This is a ‘good’ rated school and is a perfect role for an ECT looking to complete their induction.

The school is a busy primary which caters for a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL pupils.  The school demonstrates an inclusive and supportive ethos across the school and aims to ensure all children are treated with respect in their education.

The role will be full time, starting after Easter half term with a view to be made permanent in the new academic year, 2022.

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold valid QTS
  • Have exemplary planning and assessment skills
  • Be a strong role model to both pupils and colleagues
  • Have a strong classroom presence to manage behaviour and keep children focused
  • Be a hard-working, reliable, and approachable individual
  • Demonstrate the highest regard for safeguarding children and the schools policies and procedures

The school supports training and development for all its staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join their team.  Both newly qualified teachers/early careers teachers (NQT/ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this position.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
