Year 1 Teacher

Location: Walsall

Key Stage 1 – Term Time Only – Full Time

Pay: £130 – £170 per day

Start Date: September

Zest Education is delighted to be working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Walsall to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher. This is a brilliant opportunity to inspire pupils at a key stage in their development, helping them grow in confidence and achieve their full potential throughout the rest of Key Stage 1.

The Role

  • Full-time Year 1 classroom teacher
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Foster curiosity, independence, and resilience in learners
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, offering constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil success

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching KS1, ideally Year 1
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and committed to raising standards

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this role is recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years in a school teaching the British Curriculum) and/or relevant care-based experience within the last 5 years.
