Year 1 Teacher – Short-Term Contract (4 Weeks) | Hall Green | Zest Education

Zest Education is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the Hall Green area. This full-time, short-term role (4 weeks) is ideal for an experienced KS1 teacher who can hit the ground running and deliver high‑quality teaching from day one.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate teacher who can create a warm, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for a delightful class of 28 well-behaved and eager Year 1 pupils. The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • A nurturing, patient, and positive approach to teaching

Key Responsibilities

As the Y1 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, stimulating lessons tailored to pupils’ needs
  • Carry out assessments and track pupil progress
  • Write high‑quality reports and maintain accurate records
  • Take part in parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and whole‑school activities
  • Support each child to reach their full potential academically and personally
