Year 1 Teacher – Bournville (Start: After October Half Term)

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Bournville. This full-time role begins after the October half term and will be an ongoing position within Key Stage 1 (KS1). The successful candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and regular reports

  • Establish clear expectations for behaviour and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Encourage collaboration, communication, and independent learning among pupils

  • Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child’s development

  • Provide tailored support and differentiation to meet the needs of all learners

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in a Year 1 or KS1 setting

  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies

  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills

  • A passion for creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment

  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

  • A Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
