We have got an exciting opportunity for a warm and friendly individual to become a year 2 teacher at a school in Cannock. This school prides itself on their carefully constructed curriculum and delivering this in a caring and safe environment. This role will start in May and continue until the end of the academic year and you will be required to work 3 days a week.

This school believes in equal opportunities for all students so being adaptable and creating lessons to keep all pupils involved is a key requirement in this role. This role will also include:

  • Planning appropriate lessons in line with the current curriculum,
  • Encouraging team work within the classroom,
  • Setting expectations for discipline and behaviour including dealing with inappropriate behaviour according to school policy,
  • Carrying out assessments and setting homework and tracking pupils progress and development,
  • Liaising with senior leadership, parents and external bodies in relation to progress, behaviour, child protection and health.

You will be required to:

  • Hold a QTS,
  • Hold an enhanced DBS or if not be willing to obtain one,
  • Relevant experience in a primary school setting,
  • Have knowledge on the current British curriculum,
  • A passion for teaching young children and encouraging their development.
