We have got an exciting opportunity for a warm and friendly individual to become a year 2 teacher at a school in Cannock. This school prides itself on their carefully constructed curriculum and delivering this in a caring and safe environment. This role will start in May and continue until the end of the academic year and you will be required to work 3 days a week.
This school believes in equal opportunities for all students so being adaptable and creating lessons to keep all pupils involved is a key requirement in this role. This role will also include:
- Planning appropriate lessons in line with the current curriculum,
- Encouraging team work within the classroom,
- Setting expectations for discipline and behaviour including dealing with inappropriate behaviour according to school policy,
- Carrying out assessments and setting homework and tracking pupils progress and development,
- Liaising with senior leadership, parents and external bodies in relation to progress, behaviour, child protection and health.
You will be required to:
- Hold a QTS,
- Hold an enhanced DBS or if not be willing to obtain one,
- Relevant experience in a primary school setting,
- Have knowledge on the current British curriculum,
- A passion for teaching young children and encouraging their development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
