The Role

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for the class throughout the Autumn Term, delivering engaging lessons that support pupils as they progress through Key Stage 1.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
  • Creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Supporting children’s academic, social and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, attainment and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of phonics, English and Mathematics
  • Be patient, understanding and compassionate
  • Show a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every child
  • Be highly organised and reliable
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate about primary education
