Job Description

Zest Education is delighted to be working with a wonderful primary school in Coventry that is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a part-time, long-term basis. This role offers the perfect balance of teaching responsibility, teamwork, and professional fulfilment.

Days: 3 per week – Location: Coventry – Group: Year 2 – Contract: Long-Term

About the Role
This exciting Year 2 position is for 3 days per week, working closely with another teacher who shares responsibility for the class. You’ll collaborate on planning and assessment to ensure pupils receive a consistent, engaging, and high-quality learning experience. It’s a fantastic opportunity to teach in an environment that values creativity, curiosity, and pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum
• Work alongside a fellow Year 2 teacher to share planning, marking, and assessments
• Support pupils’ academic and personal development through a positive and inclusive approach
• Create a stimulating classroom environment where all children can thrive
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community

What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally within Year 2
• A thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment framework
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approach

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
