Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Balsall Heath, Birmingham

Full-Time | Long-Term | Start: After Easter

Zest Education is excited to be recruiting for a full-time Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Balsall Heath. This long‑term role is set to begin after the Easter break and offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning in Key Stage 2.


About the Role

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role within the classroom, helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic progress. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities and routines
  • Working with  individual pupils to reinforce learning and positive behaviour
  • Assisting with literacy, maths and topic-based lessons
  • Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Providing encouragement and guidance to help pupils overcome challenges
  • Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive relationships

This full-time role is ideal for a motivated, caring and proactive individual who enjoys helping children succeed.


The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS2
  • Are enthusiastic, patient and able to build strong relationships
  • Have good communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Are confident supporting learning across the curriculum
  • Are proactive, reliable and able to work well within a team
  • Have a genuine passion for making a difference in children’s education

A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential for the right applicant.
