Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school located in Stirchley. This is a full-time position, working closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils across all abilities within a Year 2 class. This position is due to start in October 2025 and is ongoing, giving you the opportunity to establish a long-lasting relationship with a fantastic school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in the delivery of engaging lessons.
  • Support individual pupils or small groups to help them reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the management of classroom behaviour and the creation of a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunch times, and support with occasional school trips or extracurricular activities.
  • Assist with assessments and record-keeping.

The ideal candidate will have…

  • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Genuine passion for helping children achieve.
  • Solid understanding of the Key Stage curriculum.
