Zest are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a year 4 class and make a positive impact on the lives of students. This position is set to commence in September 2024.

Job Description: As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate young minds while receiving mentorship and support from experienced educators. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment conducive to academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure all learners are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to update them on their child’s progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion by September 2024.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively plan and manage workload.
  • A reflective practitioner mindset with a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
