Year 4 Teacher

Job Description

Year 4 Teacher – Solihull

Full-time | Urgent ASAP start | Until Christmas 2026

Zest Education are urgently looking for an experienced Year 4 Teacher to join a wonderful two-form entry primary school in Solihull.

This is a full-time teaching role, starting as soon as possible and continuing until Christmas 2026. Due to the nature of the vacancy, the school is specifically looking for an experienced teacher who can confidently step into the classroom and hit the ground running.

You will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class, including planning, teaching, assessment and ensuring pupils continue to make strong progress.

The successful teacher will need to quickly build positive, professional and respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues. Therefore, you should be confident, engaging and approachable, with strong classroom management skills and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.

As a two-form entry primary school, there is plenty of opportunity to work closely with the parallel Year 4 teacher. You will be joining an established team and will be expected to contribute positively to both the year group and wider school.

The school itself is a wonderful and welcoming primary setting in Solihull. They are looking for someone reliable and experienced who can provide consistency for the children throughout the autumn term.

We’re looking for a Year 4 Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong previous primary teaching experience
  • Is confident teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Can take responsibility for a Year 4 class from the outset
  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is positive, engaging and approachable
  • Can quickly build strong relationships with pupils
  • Works well alongside other teachers and support staff
  • Is organised and confident with planning and assessment
  • Is available to start urgently

Please note: Due to the requirements of this particular position, the school is looking for an experienced teacher rather than an ECT.
