Zest Education is supporting a vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in Derby seeking a committed KS2 Teacher to take on a Year 4 class starting in September 2025. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to pupil progress.
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
Create a positive learning environment where all pupils feel valued
Differentiate work to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress and development
Work closely with support staff and parents to ensure every child achieves their potential
Contribute to wider school life, including clubs, trips, and planning meetings Ideal Candidate:
✅ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE
✅ Experience teaching KS2 (Year 4 preferred but not essential)
✅ Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment strategies
✅ Excellent classroom management and high expectations of behaviour
✅ Open to ECTs and experienced teachers alike

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
