Zest Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lichfield, who are looking to recruit a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a full-time position and offers the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.
As a Teaching Assistant in Year 4, you will play a key role in supporting both the academic and emotional development of pupils. You will be expected to:
Work 1:1 with pupils who may need additional support
Lead and support small group activities to reinforce learning
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Help create a positive and stimulating classroom environment
Support classroom behaviour and promote good learning habits
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about working with children. To be successful in this role, you must:
Have relevant experience working with primary-aged children
Be confident in supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be committed to supporting the school’s values and learning goals
Be proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
A supportive and experienced teaching team
Well-resourced classrooms and a nurturing learning environment

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
