As the Year 5 Teacher, you will take on the full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, teaching and assessment. Therefore, you will need to be organised, confident and comfortable taking responsibility for your own classroom.

The school has a strong and supportive Senior Leadership Team, as well as an experienced qualified Teaching Assistant based within the class throughout the week. They will provide additional support with individual learning needs and help ensure pupils receive the attention they need.

You’ll also receive a dedicated PPA day every week, giving you regular time away from the classroom for planning, preparation and assessment.

The school itself is a welcoming and supportive primary setting in Harborne, with close connections to the local church and surrounding community. Staff work closely together, creating a positive environment where teachers are supported and pupils are encouraged to thrive.

We’re looking for a Year 5 Teacher who:

  • Can take on full classroom responsibilities
  • Has strong classroom management skills
