Zest Education is thrilled to collaborate with a reputable school in the vibrant area of Walsall to find a dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full time basis from September 2024 until at least December 2024.

The successful candidate for this role must:

– Have a relevant educational background
– Experience working with children: Previous experience in a school setting or relevant childcare experience.
– Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, and parents.
– Patience and empathy: Demonstrate patience and empathy in dealing with students of varying abilities.
– Team player: Collaborate with teachers and fellow teaching assistants to create a positive learning environment.
– Understanding of safeguarding procedures: Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of students.
– Willingness to learn and adapt: Openness to learning new teaching techniques and adapting to different classroom environments.

Responsibilities:
– Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring all materials and resources are readily available.
– Provide one-on-one support to students who may require extra help with their learning or specific tasks.
– Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel comfortable and supported.
– Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the teacher and identifying areas for improvement or additional support.
– Support students during class activities, encouraging participation and engagement to enhance their learning experience.

Pay will begin from a daily rate of £76.92 and will depend on references and experiences.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
