We are recruiting for a Year 6 teacher to join a popular school in Ward End, Birmingham to start after Easter half term. The position will be long-term, covering until the end of the academic year, and will potentially be made permanent from September 2022.
This large primary school has a good reputation and aims to cater for a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL pupils. The school is overseen by a dedicated team who promote the well-being of everyone in school to ensure they are happy and confident in all that they do.
The successful candidate must:
- Hold valid QTS
- Be consistent in maintaining positive behaviour for learning
- Have a strong classroom presence to manage behaviour and keep children focused
- Be proficient in Literacy, Numeracy, Science and ICT
- Have a flair for teaching and engaging pupils
- Have exemplary planning and assessment skills
- Be a positive role model to both colleagues and pupils
Full planning and classroom responsibilities will be expected. PPA time will be covered throughout the week and you will have a qualified classroom assistant within your class.
The school supports training and development for all its staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join their team. Both newly qualified teachers/early careers teachers (NQT/ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this position.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
