Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

We are working with a popular primary school in Shard End to recruit for a Classroom Support Assistant to work on a full-time basis across lower key stage 2. This role will involve working with a range of small groups across year 3 and year 4. The successful candidate will be required to work from 8:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday.

This position is due to start in November 2023 and will continue for 2 terms. If you are the right fit for this role there may also be an opportunity for the role to go permanent.

The school also have a strong focus on encouraging all children to develop into independent, respectful, and confident individuals. The school has a team of dedicated and engaging staff who provide enriching indoor and outdoor learning opportunities to all pupils and their needs.

To be considered for this you must have the ability to build strong, professional relationships with other colleagues, pupils, and parents/carers. You must also be enthusiastic and motivated to challenge and inspire all pupils in the class. You will also be required to support the class teacher with the delivery of activities within the classroom.

The pay for this role will start from £75 a day depending on references and experience.

All applicants must be NVQ level 2 qualified (or above) in a relevant subject or have a minimum of 3 months experience within the last 5 years.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
