Art and Design Teacher

Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield. The school are looking to recruit an Art and Design Teacher, that can teach across KS3-KS4. The role is a full-time placement that will start in May 2022 with the potential to extend for the right candidate. 

This large secondary school is well situated, which makes it easily accessible by private or public transport. The school also offers great in door and outdoor facilities, to allow for creative and fun lessons. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive departmental team that encourage all their students to progress into confident young adults.  

The successful applicant will have: 

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS 
• A strong passion for the subject of Art and Design and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 to KS4 
• A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment 
• The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements). 
• Strong classroom and behaviour management 

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience. 

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
