SEMH Teacher

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs? Zest Education is currently seeking experienced SEND Teachers to join a dedicated SEMH school in Coventry.

As a teacher at this amazing school , you will have the opportunity to become a part of a collaborative community that brings together children, their families, and carers. Together, They aim to offer life-changing opportunities for young people who require additional support due to their social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students in accordance with their individual education plans.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes personal growth and development.
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including support staff, therapists, and parents/carers.
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing necessary interventions.
– Establish strong relationships with students, building trust and rapport to support their emotional well-being.

Requirements:

– Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
– Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
– Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
