Zest Education are recruiting exclusively for a long term SENDco role at a popular primary school in Bournville, Birmingham. The position will be full time, starting in September 2022 and will be continuing on a long-term basis.

The school itself is a wonderful learning community which maintains a rewarding and enjoyable learning journey for all. The school is located on wonderful grounds and benefits from a passionate team who work hard to maintain a strong and inclusive ethos.

The role will involve working closely with the phase leaders, across all year groups, to ensure children who require specific and individual support also have access to an inspiring and fun education. You must be able to identify and target individual needs whilst working cooperatively as part of a well-established team. You will be proficient in communication in liaising with outside provisions; including agencies, and education psychologists, and parents/carers where required.

You must have previous experience of working within a similar role to be considered for this position and ideally have relevant qualifications. The position is initially on a temporary contract with a view to go permanent for Summer 2023.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
