Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated full time Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEND school in Nuneaton.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a mixed-age and mixed-needs classroom, supporting students with a range of requirements. This is an incredibly rewarding role where you will play a crucial part in helping students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:
– Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of students.
– Provide support and guidance to students with their learning and development.
– Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEND.
– Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and support staff, to create a holistic approach to education.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable.
– A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively as part of a team.
– Relevant qualifications or training in special education or teaching assistance is preferable.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
