1:1 Teaching Assistant

Zest Education is currently seeking a hardworking and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Redditch. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Your role will involve working closely with students, teachers, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Work closely with assigned students, providing personalized support and guidance.
– Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
– Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.
– Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team where necessary.
– Support students in their social and emotional development, promoting independence and self-confidence.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with autism, is highly desirable.
– A genuine passion for working with children and helping them overcome challenges.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
– A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
