SEND TA Roles in Staffordshire

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team in Staffordshire. We have both part-time and full-time positions available, offering flexible schedules. The areas with such roles include Lichfield, Rugeley, Tamworth and Burton.

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work in mainstream schools, providing vital support to students with special educational needs.. Your role will involve assisting the classroom teacher in delivering tailored learning experiences, helping students with their academic and personal development, and ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

To be considered for this role, you must have prior experience working with SEND children in an educational setting. A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in childcare or above is preferred, as it demonstrates your understanding of child development and the ability to provide appropriate support.

Responsibilities:
– Support students with their individual learning plans, ensuring their specific needs are met
– Assist with classroom activities, including preparing materials and resources
– Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to achieve their academic goals
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create effective strategies for student development

Requirements:
– Prior experience working with SEND children in an educational setting
– Level 2 qualification in childcare or above (preferred)
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
