Teaching Assistant – Marston Green

Job Description

Zest Education is a small consultancy with a friendly atmosphere and extensive experience in the education sector. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a reputable school in Marston Green.

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Marston Green
Contract type: Full-time, permanent
Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities:
– Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
– Assist students with their learning and provide one-on-one support when needed
– Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Help with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
– Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
– Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being and progress of students

Requirements:
– Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
– A genuine passion for education and supporting students’ development
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students
– Knowledge of SEND and experience in supporting students with additional needs is desirable
– A positive and proactive attitude towards work

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
