History Teacher

Job Description

Are you a passionate History teacher looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Look no further! We are currently recruiting for a History Teacher position on behalf of a Secondary school located in Burton.

This well-established school has received a ‘Good’ rating from OFSTED, making it a highly sought-after institution within the area. With a January start, the school is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher who can deliver high-quality education to students up to KS5.

One of the standout features of this position is the flexible working hours. The school is open to considering either a 0.6 or 0.8 FTE, allowing you to choose which days you would prefer to work. This flexibility provides an excellent work-life balance, enabling you to pursue personal interests outside of the classroom. In this role, you will join a supportive and cohesive team of educators who are committed to providing an exceptional learning experience for their students. The school prides itself on its excellent behaviour management and maintains a positive and respectful environment for both staff and pupils.

The successful applicant should have the following:
  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of History and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but is not a necessity)
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

The need for a History teacher is ongoing, reflecting the school’s dedication to maintaining a high standard of education and ensuring continuity for its students. This presents an excellent opportunity for career growth and stability within the school.

If you are a History teacher with a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young individuals, then this role is perfect for you. Join the dynamic and inclusive community at this Burton school and contribute to the academic success and personal development of its students.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity. Apply now and embark on a rewarding teaching career at one of Burton’s most reputable schools.
