Teacher of Music

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join an excellent secondary school in the Solihull area. This is a full-time position, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher to further develop their career. The role is due to start in April 2025 and has the potential to run for the rest of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students of all ability levels
– Teach a range of musical concepts, including theory, history, composition, and performance
– Inspire students to develop their musical skills and talents
– Organise and lead school performances and events
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s music curriculum

Requirements:

– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification
– Strong knowledge and understanding of music theory and technique
– Experience teaching music at KS3-KS5 level
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students
– Commitment to promoting a positive learning environment
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population
