Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a team at a school in Wednesbury. This part-time position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students aged between 11 to 18 with moderate learning difficulties.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with MLD, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include:
– Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
– Assisting students with their classwork, homework, and educational activities.
– Implementing individualized learning programs tailored to each student’s needs.
– Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns to the class teacher.
– Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
– Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a compassionate nature, be patient and understanding, and have the ability to build strong rapport with students. Previous experience working with students with moderate learning difficulties is highly desirable.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
