This full-time position is available for an immediate start, offering a unique chance to work with students aged between 4 and 19. The school prides itself on providing a wonderful educational experience tailored to meet the specific needs of SEMH students.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their academic and personal development. Working closely with a dedicated team, you will create a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures students’ social and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs
– Assist in delivering tailored lesson plans, ensuring students’ individual requirements are met
– Promote positive behaviour management strategies and implement individual behaviour plans
– Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
– Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop effective learning strategies
Requirements:
– Relevant experience working with students with SEMH needs
– Strong knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students’ well-being
– Ability to work effectively within a team

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
