We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Saltley area that we closely work with. This is a full-time role, where planning and marking will be required.
The successful candidate will have a strong subject knowledge and the ability to effectively engage and inspire students in their learning of English. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and ensuring all students progress and achieve their full potential.
This role is due to start in January 2024 and will continue until at least July 2024. The ideal candidate will have previous experience teaching English at secondary level and hold relevant qualifications.
Key responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons
– Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback and support as necessary
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression within the English curriculum
– Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Relevant degree in English or a related subject
– Previous experience teaching English at secondary level
– Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum
– Strong communication and organizational skills
– Ability to inspire and motivate students
