Drama Teacher, South Birmingham

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Drama Teacher to join a secondary school that we closely work with in the Kings Norton area. This is a full-time role, starting in January 2024 and ending in March 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching drama to students in various year groups.

The secondary school in Kings Norton is a vibrant and inclusive educational institution, committed to providing high-quality education to our students. With a strong focus on creativity and personal development, the drama program plays a significant role in nurturing students’ talents and confidence. They offer state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive staff team.

Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons to students.
– Develop and implement a creative and inclusive curriculum.
– Assess students’ progress and provide feedback.
– Organize and participate in school productions, competitions, and events.
– Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
– Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the drama program.

Requirements:
– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Relevant qualification in Drama or Performing Arts.
– Strong knowledge and understanding of drama techniques and theories.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to motivate and inspire students.
– Experience in teaching drama at secondary level is desirable.

Please note that the starting and end dates for this role are fixed, but there may be opportunities for further employment beyond March 2024.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
